William takes the reins at thriving property business
Discover moreProperty management firm Common Ground Estate and Property Management has promoted William Beauchamp to become General Manager of the business.
William joined the Common Ground team two years ago as a foundation level property manager and has since completed Associate and Member level professional exams with the Institute of Residential Property Management.
His new role will involve managing 16 staff in the rapidly growing company as well as being responsible for day-to-day administration where he will be supported by Senior Property Manager, Ed Hughes and Senior Service Charge Accountant, George Parker.
Experienced Property Manager Matthew Collis will take on William’s old position while another Property Manager, Melissa Meighan, has also been appointed.
William said: “I’m delighted to be taking up the role of General Manager and look forward to helping the company grow at the rate it has over the last few years.”
Common Ground founder and Managing Director, Alan Draper will still actively be involved in the business but will now spend more time focusing on projects such as leasehold reform.
Alan said: “William joined the business in March 2021, hit the ground running and hasn’t really stopped since then. Every challenge I throw at him he responds to in a positive and efficient way.
“Within six months he had boosted service levels within the department, and he’s continued to promote and enhance that culture ever since.”
Common Ground now manages a portfolio of 2,792 properties in 96 developments across the south of England.
The firm’s geographical reach has expanded into London as well as Beaconsfield, Newbury, Swindon, Kent, Reading, Windsor, Surrey, Oxford, Henley on Thames and Buckinghamshire.
The business is an Accredited Managing Agent of the Leasehold Knowledge Partnership with Alan campaigning for mainstream commonhold to be adopted in England and Wales which would ensure homebuyers own their properties.
